1. Introduction
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled for consulting services offered by FINLOG E&P Consultants ("the firm", "we", "our"). By engaging our services or using our website adarshmalpotra.com, you agree to the terms of this policy, which is to be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Applicability
This policy applies to:
- Consulting engagements
- Scheduled advisory sessions (including 20-minute strategy calls)
- Project-based assignments and diagnostic sprints
- Retainer-based services
- Any service purchased or initiated through our website or direct communication
3. Cancellation by the Client
3.1 Diagnostic sprints and project-based engagements
- Cancellation before work commences: eligible for a refund less any actual costs incurred and a reasonable administrative charge.
- Cancellation after work commences: fees for work already completed, together with any third-party costs incurred, are payable and non-refundable.
3.2 Retainer engagements
- Retainer fees for a commenced billing cycle are non-refundable.
- Either party may terminate the retainer with the notice period specified in the engagement letter; future-cycle fees, if prepaid, will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
3.3 Scheduled advisory sessions
- Cancellation or rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
- Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.
- Missed sessions (no-show) are fully chargeable.
4. Cancellation by the Firm
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services under exceptional circumstances such as consultant unavailability, technical or operational issues, conflicts of interest, or compliance and regulatory concerns. In such cases, clients will be offered rescheduling or a full refund for the affected portion of the service.
5. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are considered only where:
- Services have not yet been delivered;
- The firm has cancelled the engagement as set out in Section 4; or
- A material deficiency in service delivery is established, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
6. Non-Refundable Items
- Retainer fees once the engagement period has begun
- Customised deliverables (reports, models, frameworks, financial analyses)
- Travel or logistics expenses already incurred for client projects
- Third-party costs paid on behalf of the client
- Applicable GST already deposited with the tax authority
7. Refund Processing Timeline
- 7–14 business days for domestic (Indian) transactions
- 14–21 business days for international transactions
Refunds will be issued to the original mode of payment unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any bank or foreign exchange charges will be borne by the client.
8. Project Termination
If a project is terminated due to non-cooperation, repeated delays, non-payment, or breach of contract, the firm reserves the right to stop work immediately, retain all fees paid, and invoice for work completed up to the termination date.
9. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
All cancellation or refund requests must be submitted in writing via the Contact page, quoting the engagement reference and reason. We will acknowledge the request within 48 hours and respond substantively within 15 business days.
10. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of this policy is subject to the dispute-resolution and jurisdiction clauses of our Terms of Service.
